About Tanya Ward Ministry
Pastor Tanya Yvette Brown Ward
Pastor Ward was born, raised, and educated through high school in Springfield,
MA., and continued her education at the Boston Christian Academy.
She is the second oldest child born to John and Natha Brown and a third-
generation member of the Church Of God In Christ, (COGIC). She follows in the
footsteps of several generations of male and female pioneers in the
McGraw/Brown family serving in ministry. Pastor Ward is a child prodigy. Music is
her passion. God anointed & gifted her to play music without ever taking a lesson.
She began playing at church as an organist at the Whole Truth Church of God in
Christ in Springfield, MA. While yet a teenager she was appointed assistant
organist to her father. The late Pastor John Brown.
Her COGIC affiliation has afforded her the opportunity to sit under the tutelage of
the late Jurisdictional Supervisor, Mother Rebekah Gorham. Currently she serves
as the State Marshall for the Women’s Department of the Massachusetts First
Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction and works closely with State Supervisor Mother
Fanneree Baymon to bring the Women’s Departments goals and agenda to
fruition.
Without question she has a shepherd’s heart and is committed to serving God’s
people. She is passionate about preaching the Gospel and proclaiming God’s word
with power and conviction!! In 1991 she founded Victory Temple C.O.G.I.C, in
West Springfield, Mass. Her love for the church and the members, the
“Victorians” as she affectingly refers to them has led her to a life of commitment,
dedication and integrity!!! In 2000, Pastor Ward, along with the Victorians, God
blessed she and the Victorians to purchase in full a 5.500 sq. ft. building.
Her outspoken nature and dedication to the community have made her the
benefactor of countless honors and awards. She currently serves on various
committees and works with several non-profit organizations. For many years she
was a faithful board member of the Western Mass Food Bank. In 2007, the Victory
Community Development Corporation was founded. Many are the recipients of
Pastor Wards unique ability to network in the community securing resources for
those in need.
It is her life's quest to see God’s Kingdom manifested in the earth realm with
signs, wonders and miracles. In such a way that the Power of God breaks the
bands of tradition across ethnic, cultural and social barriers, that have held the
Body of Christ captive.
Pastor Ward has devoted her will to God's Will, accepting the challenge to
prepare and lead God's people into holiness. She has worked diligently to keep
Victory Temple Church C.O.G.I.C. doors open. Pastor Tanya Ward’s commitment is
to continue the mission set forth by our forefathers and mothers. She believes
that we must always be able to tell our story of how God brought us over and out.
Her experience, with blindness, leads her to the front line of God's battlefield. She
knows that suffering brings out the manifestation of God's gifts. She is convinced
that her five-fold ministry was developed through her suffering. As God uses her
to minister throughout the country it is evident that this Prophetess is an
anointed sold-out vessel of God.
She believes the only way to live is Gods way. Her desire is that all will be saved
and serve God with all their heart. That they will experience the liberty promised
to them by God Almighty.
